Anthony Capozzi, 87, of Endicott died a devoted and humble servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was predeceased by his devoted and beloved wife Elisa and parents Vincent and Grace. He is survived by his daughters Cara (John) Bernardo, Grace (Mark) Lewis, Elisa (Chris) Putrino, and Adriana (David) Hall; his grandchildren Lisa; Nicholas (Maddie), Elisa (Matt), Carolyn (Mark), Umberto, Anthony, John, Giovanna, Gianpaolo (Julie), Lawrence, Filomena, and Antonio; great grandchildren Luca; Olivia, Ella, Elisabeth, Sofia, Joseph and Isabelle; brothers Vincent (Carolyn) and Tom (Antonette); sisters Carmela Molter and MaryJo (Matt) Galante; close lifelong friend Jim Regan; also many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a dear friend and companion, Louise Jenks.
Anthony retired from I.B.M. Corp in 1992 after a decades-long career. He was highly respected and well-liked by his coworkers, friends, and family, who cherished him greatly. He had a special devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus and our Blessed Mother, especially his daily Rosary. He considered his Catholic Faith and his family the greatest treasures of his life.
The family would like to acknowledge those caring, dedicated priests who tended to his soul throughout his illness, especially in his final days. They'd also like to thank Dr. John Perry, Dr. Mohammed Quasem, Dr. Shari Nichols and Dr. Mario Silvestri for their attentive and compassionate care.
A Requiem Mass of the Traditional Latin Rite will be offered Tuesday, June 21st at 10 am, St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church, 406 Shady Drive, Endwell, followed by entombment in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Monday June 20th from 5-7 pm.
