Anthony Chiles

A celebration of the life of Anthony Chiles, 53, of Athens will be held at 1100 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Athens with Bro. Jeff Godwin officiating and under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Anthony left his earthly home on September 5, 2023, with his loving bride by his side in Dallas.
David Anthony Chiles was born December 17, 1969, in Garland, Texas the son of David Ray Chiles and Leona Diane (Austin) Chiles. He graduated from Athens High School in 1988, alongside his best friend since 8th grade, Chris Allen. He went on to start his first job at Tom's Tires as a manager, kickstarting a 30 plus year career in the tire and automotive industry. Anthony went on to purchase Fulton Tire & Auto 20 years ago where he would run a successful business where he was known to truly care for his employees as well as his many customers over the years. This success would afford him the opportunity to give back to his community in service and philanthropically, through Rotary Club where he served as President, named Rotarian of the year twice and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Anthony married Donna in 1995 in Athens, Texas and they went on to have a beautiful life full of love, laughter and friendship. After many years of trying for a child they were blessed by one precious darling that God gifted them, Katie Chiles - Radke. "Chile" never met a stranger and showed you with action not just words the love he had for you. Everyone that crossed his path would describe Anthony as a good man, was a wonderful husband, dad, friend, the best uncle, and a true servant of the Lord.
He was predeceased by Father-in-law AC Collins.
He is survived by wife of 28 years Donna Collins - Chiles, Daughter Katie Chiles-Radke and Husband Brandon Radke, Mother Diane Chiles and Father David Chiles, Brother Jason Chiles and Wife Cristal Chiles and niece Sierra, nephew Peyton, and niece Karlee,Sister-in-Law Teresa Collins, Brother-in-law Mark Collins, Brother-in-law Luther Collins, Sister-in-Law Janice Hankins, Brother-in-law Larry Hankins, Nephew Charles Hankins and wife Alyssa Purselley-Hankins, great nephew Everett Hankins, Great Niece Everly Mae Hankins, Niece Staci Hankins-York and husband Garrett York, Mother-in-Law Margie Collins, Sister and Brother-in-Law Gina and Tom Cline and nephew Blake Cline, Brother Jimmy Chiles, Nephews Ethan, Elliot and William Chiles.
A memorial visitation will be held prior to the service at the First Baptist Church from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Athens Rotary Club in his memory or the American Cancer Society.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Boothe, Tommy Sawyer, Roy Feagins, Dustin Feagins, Pedro Alanis and Bruno Rivera.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
