Mr. Anthony Ray “Tony” Jenkins, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence in Tignall, GA. His wife Kathy and son Nick were at his side.
Born on December 17, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, he was the youngest of two boys of Hubert Thomas Jenkins and Louise Eidson Jenkins. Tony was a 1971 graduate of Peachtree High School in Dunwoody, GA, and was proud of a 38-year career with Eastman Kodak Company, where he was a warehouse supervisor at the time of his retirement.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed his retirement years in Lincoln County, GA where he spent time hunting and fishing. Tony also enjoyed raising chickens and vegetable gardening as long as his health permitted. He loved sports of any kind, and was an avid NASAR fan.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Kathy Deborah Adams Jenkins and son, Nicholas Anthony Jenkins, both of the residence; brother, Dr. Walter Thomas “Tommy” Jenkins and his wife Faith of Gainesville, GA; beloved aunt, Inez Jenkins Warren of Augusta, GA; grandson, Jacob Anthony Jenkins of Rockmart, GA; great-granddaughter, Addilynn Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Tony's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 12noon, at his residence.
If desired, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
