Anthony Joseph Keepes

Anthony Joseph Keepes of Rolla, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 peacefully at home with his loving wife beside him, at the age of 85. Anthony was born on August 16, 1937 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to the late Herman and Hazel (Keefey) Keepes.
Anthony proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean war. After returning home he was united in marriage to Janice on December 10, 1965, this union was blessed with two children. Sadly, Janice passed away in 1997. On November 16, 2001 Anthony was united in marriage to Dalisa Akers and was blessed to have spent 21 years with her. Anthony started his career with the USGS as a Cartographic Technician in 1956, he retired 40 years later in December 0f 1996. He traveled around the United States setting benchmarks for the Survey. After he retired, he enjoyed golfing with his friends, hanging out for coffee and donuts with his cronies, but what he enjoyed the most was going trout fishing. He was known to always catch his limit with the special bait that was made by Dalisa and was known to no one besides them. He enjoyed taking rides in the backroads seeing the countryside with his wife. Anthony also enjoyed spending time with his standard poodle "Princess CiCi. they spent many hours together going on car rides and going to the Veterans Park in Rolla to run, and play.
Anthony Joseph Keepes is survived by his loving and devoted wife Dalisa Keepes, of the home; children, Tracie Werner and husband Chris, of Jackson, MO, and Brent Keepes, of Rolla, MO; sister, Geneva Ankenbrandt, of Mt. Carmel, IL; grand-daughter, Emily Werner; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Herman and Hazel Keepes, Anthony was preceded in death by his wife Janice "Jan" Keepes; brothers, Carl Keepes, and Bob Keepes.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Rolla Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary at 12:30 PM. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11AM until service time.
