Anthony John Kostoglou

Anthony John Kostoglou, 92, of Canfield, Ohio, passed away October 10, 2025. He moved in 2016 to New Smyrna Beach, Florida with his wife, Vasila "Bessie" Kostoglou and their son, John and Lisa, and granddaughter, Vasilia Antonia Kostoglou.
He was born August 5, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Cleo (Angnostakis) Kostoglou. Anthony married Vasila "Bessie" Valantasis July 9, 1960. Their son, John was born November 30, 1963. John was the absolute light of Anthony's life. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
Anthony was a member in good standing for most of his life, at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, Canfield, Ohio. He and Bessie moved to Florida, Thanksgiving 2016 to be closer to John, Lisa, and Vasilia.
Anthony was predeceased by his loving wife, Vasilia " Bessie" in 2020 and is survived by his son, John Anthony Kostoglou (Lisa); granddaughter Vasilia Antonia Kostoglou; brother, George Kostoglou; sister, Olympia Peroulakis and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by many relatives.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 17, 2025 10:00AM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 129 North Halifax Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32118. Burial to follow at Daytona Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in memory of Anthony Kostoglou.
