He met the love of his life, Peggy, on a blind date and they were married on May 9, 1953. Together they started their family in St. Clair Shores and were blessed with 5 children.
Tony worked in the insurance industry for a few years before entering into the restaurant business. His love knew no bounds as he embraced his role as a grandfather to 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the master of the sweet sneak, making every visit with the grand kids a little sweeter with hidden treats. Family dinners and holidays were always a highlight for him.
Another passion of Tony's was his dedication to his Catholic faith. He and Peggy attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores and later joined St. Irenaeus parish in Rochester Hills after they moved to Troy. Following his retirement, he dedicated his time to The Men of the Scared Heart for over 25 years and continued to say the rosary everyday of his life.
After Peggy's passing, Tony moved to Waltonwood Independent Living, where he became a cherished member of the community, touching the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, wit and kind smile. He could always be found playing bingo, penny poker or attending one of the musical events.
