It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Robert Perez, affectionately known as Robert by his loved ones. Surrounded by family and friends, Robert peacefully succumbed to cancer at his home in Gilbert, Arizona, on December 24, 2024. Born on September 7, 1975, in Beeville, Texas, Robert was the beloved son of Alberto and Rosa Perez.
Robert is survived by his loving girlfriend, Regina Canales; his best friend, Jodie Schenk; his mother, Rosa Perez; and his siblings, Albert Perez (Robertta), Albertina Perez, Joe Perez, and James Perez (Irmalee). He is also survived by his nieces, Alexis Bermudez (Anthony) and Olivia Perez, and his nephews, Sabastian Guerrero (Amysi) and Sebastian Perez.
Robert's legacy lives on through his sons, Logan Campbell and Hunter Schenk; his daughter, Kaila Campbell (Tim); and his grandchildren, Emellia and Blake, who brought him immense joy. He cherished every moment spent with them. Robert's love for his family was boundless, and his influence will continue to inspire them for generations.
Robert graduated from George West High School in 1994 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2005. After completing his studies, he moved to Gilbert, Arizona, in 2006 to begin a new chapter in his life. Over the next two decades, Robert dedicated nearly 20 years to the fields of business management and industrial gas, where his knowledge and expertise were highly valued. He was deeply respected and cherished by his coworkers, who admired his strong work ethic and warm demeanor.
Beyond his professional life, Robert's passions reflected his vibrant and adventurous spirit. He found peace and joy in canoeing with his girlfriend, Gina, hiking Arizona's scenic trails, fishing at local ponds, and embracing the camaraderie and freedom of riding his motorcycle with friends. A talented musician, Robert also had a deep love for live music and found immense joy in playing the drums and guitar. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Robert loved watching professional games both at home and in person. He was a devoted fan of the University of Texas Longhorns football team and the Arizona Diamondbacks, sharing countless cherished moments at Chase Field with his loved ones.
Robert lived a life full of love, passion, and generosity, leaving an undeniable mark on all who knew him. He was a cherished friend, partner, and companion whose presence brought joy to everyone he encountered. His unwavering strength, even in the face of illness, was an inspiration to many.
Robert's life was characterized by his tireless commitment to others. He worked hard every day and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, consistently putting others before himself. His kindness, quick wit, and ability to make others feel at ease touched countless lives, leaving a lasting legacy of love and compassion.
Those fortunate enough to know Robert will always remember his warm heart, infectious smile, and incredible spirit. His outgoing personality, great sense of humor, and natural ability to connect with others made him a source of comfort and joy. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply his presence, Robert had a way of making everyone around him feel special and loved.
A remarkable man who made the world a brighter place, Robert's legacy of kindness, love, and passion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he is deeply missed, his spirit will remain with us forever.
