Obituary of Anthony Rapisarda
Anthony Rapisarda, 65, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn, NY prior to settling here in 1999. Anthony, along with three generations of his family, owned and operated Midwood Ambulance Service in Brooklyn for over 60 years until retiring in 2018. A fan of the game of baseball, he enjoyed the years he coached Little League in Brooklyn and in Freehold, and had traveled to all but two Major League Baseball stadiums. Anthony also rooted for the Mets, St. John's and the Cowboys. Anthony was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He loved to create memories with his family on many vacations, including Disney and traveling to Italy. Anthony treasured his family above all and cherished his role as Grandpa and Papa.
He was predeceased by his father, Benny Rapisarda. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jacqueline Rapisarda; children, Anthony Rapisarda, Jr. and his wife, Gabrielle; Mallory Weiss and her husband, Jarred; and Nicholas Rapisarda and his wife, Marie; four grandchildren, Brielle, Luca, Nathan and Austin; mother, Frances Rapisarda; siblings, Sebastian, Al, Grace, Paul, and John; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.
