Anthony Glenn Relford, 59, of Commerce passed away at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville late Sunday night, March 23, 2025. He was born in Commerce on August 20, 1965, to the parentage of Joe Verl Relford and Doris Easter Relford. Anthony received his education at and attended Commerce Schools. Anthony worked as a Detail Specialist in the Automotive Industry for many years having worked for the Ford House, Chevrolet House and Benson Brothers of Commerce. He enjoyed family, football and playing dominos.
Anthony had no children of his own but leaves to cherish his precious memories his stepchildren: Dante Crosby, Kandarius Crosby (April), Bobby Edwards and Shambrica Edwards; 7 step grandchildren that he loved very much; 3 brothers: Bobby Joe Relford, Billy Joe Relford (Erica Wilkerson) and Benny Joe Relford; 1 sister Delois Williams (Maurice Ford) all of Commerce; sister/cousin he loved dearly Gene Williams; stepsisters and brothers: Rose Sims, Annette Judkins, Joann Finney, Aileen Brown, Kim Finney, Aurthur Finney and Benny Finney.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Relford and Doris Finney, stepfather Willie Finney, brothers Henry Joe Relford, Jeffery Lynn Relford, Billy Ray Barber and Richard Elton Relford and stepbrother Brian Finney.
A funeral service will be held for Anthony on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Commerce with Rev. Shawn Pannell as eulogist.
Pallbearers will be Shaquielle Relford, Mendaryan Wilson, Christopher Winston, Grayson Johnson, Tony Clay, Mingo Clay, Derrick Relford, KD Ford. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Charles Savage, Daren Wayne Savage, Sherman Price, Pat Weatherford, Leonard Sampson and Jimmy Johnson.
