Odis “Junior” Eudy, a lifelong resident of Commerce, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2025 in Dallas. Odis was born on October 17, 1947, the son of Odis Eudy and Thelma Irene Johnston. A celebration of life will take place Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairlie Home Place in Fairlie.
Junior attended Commerce High School, graduating with the class of 1959. He was a plumber by trade and spent many years working for Texas A&M University – Commerce, now known at East Texas A&M University. He retired from there on February 1, 2000.
Junior met Marty Watson later in life, and they married on September 12, 2018 in Greenville, Texas. Though their marriage was cut short due to Junior’s untimely passing, they made many memories together that will last a lifetime.
In retirement, Junior enjoyed playing poker with his poker group, junking, and collecting things such as spurs and tools. But mostly he enjoyed spending time with those he loved, especially his grandkids.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marty; 3 grandchildren; 8 grandchildren; and his best friend, Reba, his blue heeler.
Preceding him is death are his parents and a sister.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Roger McDaniel, Jerry McDaniel, Bob Arquette, and the poker group.
