Anthony Santoro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Saul Colonial Home on Dec. 8, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony J. Santoro, age 74, of Hamilton Square, on Sunday, December 6, 2025, at the Serenity Hospice Unit of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.
Tony's journey began in Philadelphia, where he was born and raised. A proud graduate of West Catholic High School, he further pursued his education at LaSalle University, earning a bachelor's degree in Warehousing Management. Tony retired from Aquarium Pharmaceuticals in 2000, but continued to work other miscellaneous jobs until formally retiring in 2022.
A man of deep passion, Tony was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, with a heart that especially belonged to the Eagles. Every weekend, without fail, he would enjoy game day. His devotion extended beyond sports; he was an ardent dog lover, cherished especially by his beloved Britt. Together, they took countless walks around their neighborhood, forging bonds with friends-both human and canine-along Tudor Drive, affectionately known as "Treat Street." Tony's spirit of generosity shone brightly, as he never set out on those walks without a pocket full of treats for all of Britt's furry friends.
Tony is predeceased by his loving parents, Anthony and Linda (Neri) Santoro. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories through his wife of 40 years, Kathryn "Kitty" Santoro of Hamilton Square; his sister, Nancy Smargisso of Mullica Hill; his brothers, Michael Santoro of Menlo Park, CA, and Vincent Santoro of Mantua, NJ, along with many nieces, nephews, and a community of loving neighbors.
A Memorial Gathering will take place to celebrate Tony's life on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Friends and family are invited to join together from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ, with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 5:30 p.m. This will be a time for sharing stories, honoring a life well-lived, and finding solace in the company of those who loved him. As you remember Tony, carry forward his kindness, love for life, and the joy he brought to those around him. His spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him
Cremation services were held privately, honoring Tony's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Tony's memory to the ASPCA by visiting https://www.ASPCA.org/ which will carry on Tony's love for animals.

Anthony (Tony) will always remain special to our soul. He was a sweet, caring and loyal man who was always there for you. His love of animals was genuine and true; he often spoke fondly of his one cat, Romy who stole his heart. Tony will forever live in our hearts. Miss you sadly. Brian and Jayne DeBiasio

We only met Tony two years ago when we moved in next door, but we were instantly grateful to have him as a neighbor. My children looked forward to giving Britt the treats he always had in his pocket. A truly kind and sweet man. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
