Anthony Spaeder Obituary

Anthony T. Spaeder, 60, of Waterford, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Erie, on July 18, 1964, a son of the late Thomas N. and Virginia Runser Spaeder.
Tony graduated from McDowell High School in 1982. He worked 3rd generation for his family business at Wm. T. Spaeder Co., as an operating engineer local 66 for 42 years, retiring July 30, 2024. Tony was an avid musky fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Cooper and Nolan Kuhn.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Stephanie Weber Spaeder; his son, Alex Spaeder (significant other, Mikaela Miller); his daughter, Christina Kuhn (Jake); his sister, Ann M. Sedlacek (Jeffrey); his brother, Michael W. Spaeder (Kathryn); his mother-in-law, Alice Babe; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd, Erie, PA 16504, on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until the time of memorial service there at 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
