Anthony Thomas Tyrrell, known affectionately as Tony to his friends and family, went home to be with Jesus on June 18, 2025, in Owosso, Michigan, at the age of 60. Born on December 7, 1964, in Lapeer, Michigan, Tony's early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of a small-town upbringing.
Tony's life was marked by the deep bonds he formed with those he loved. He leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy, with whom he shared an unwavering partnership since their marriage on June 4, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada. His mother, Karen Conrad, and his father, Hugh "Tom" (Sue) Tyrrell, remember him as a devoted son whose kindness was a beacon of light in their lives. Tony's brother, Randall Tyrrell, was not just a sibling but also his best friend, and together they shared life's many adventures. His nephew Parker Miller and niece Onalee Miller will miss their fun-loving uncle who always had time for them. Tony was also a cherished member of a large extended family, with many aunts and uncles in the Lapeer area who will fondly remember his presence at family gatherings. His beloved fur babies, Ramsey and Rocky, were like children to him, and he was a doting father to his canine companions. Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Tyrrell, whom he loved dearly and whose memory he carried in his heart.
Professionally, Tony was a respected figure in the glass industry. His career began many years ago with Pat from Discount Glass, and he was currently employed at Hi-Quality Glass of Owosso, where he found not just colleagues but a second family. Tony's dedication to his craft was evident to all who worked with him, and his skills served many local companies in the community. His work was not just a job; it was a testament to his commitment to excellence and to the people he served.
Those who had the pleasure of meeting Tony knew they had a friend for life. His infectious smile and genuine interest in others made every encounter with him a memorable one. Tony's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and monster truck racing enthusiast. Above all, he loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. His favorite person was his wife, Kathy, and he was a devoted husband, son, brother, and uncle.
Tony's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless friendships he nurtured throughout his life. Tony's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. His memory will be held dear, and he will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his warmth and kindness.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life in honor of Tony will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Tony can be made to his wife Kathy.
