James Richard Eyman, a cherished husband, father, son, and brother, passed away on August 13, 2025, at his home in Metamora, Michigan. Born on May 28, 1980, in Pontiac, Michigan, to parents James and Virginia (Youngblood) Eyman, James's early years were filled with the warmth of a loving family and the joys of the Michigan outdoors.

James's life was marked by his unwavering love for his family and his passion for life's simple pleasures. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah, and their beloved son, Connor, who held a special place in his heart. His legacy continues through his parents, his sister Dawn (Michael) Robinson, his niece Peyton, and nephews Mason, Sheridan, and Liam. He was a cherished member of the Crosby family, including his in-laws Stephen and Nancy Crosby, and brother-in-law Greg (Ashly) Crosby. James's companionship with his fur babies, "Heart Dog" Hazel and Clyde, reflected his deep love for animals.

A life so full of laughter and kindness, James was known for his humorous spirit, his passionate nature, and his selfless disposition. His ability to light up a room with his wit and charm will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.

He married the love of his life, Sarah Crosby, on September 20, 2003, in Waterford, Michigan, and together they built a life filled with love and adventure.

A true outdoorsman, James found solace and excitement in hunting deer, an activity that allowed him to immerse himself in nature's beauty. His enthusiasm for cars and all types of car racing was more than a hobby; it was a passion that fueled many spirited conversations and memorable outings. Camping with family provided James with cherished moments of bonding and making lifelong memories, especially with his son Connor.

James's love for his family was evident in the time he spent at the family home with his parents, where he shared stories, laughter, and the comfort of being surrounded by those he loved most. His home in Metamora was his sanctuary, a place where he relished in the company of his family, creating a haven of happiness and warmth.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Arlen and Maureen Youngblood, James's spirit will continue to guide and inspire his family and friends. His life was a testament to the power of love, the joy of companionship, and the importance of family.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life in honor of James will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of James can be made to Lapeer County Animal Control. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. Share memories, condolences, and pictures with the family at www.jansenfuneralhome.com.
