I don't know if I'll ever be able to forget the night we lost Chaz. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forget the last conversation I had with him, or the spirit he embodied. He was such a bright light in every room he walked into. I don't understand why this happened or what was stopping people from caring about him while he was still here, and I don't think I ever will understand. But I'm so grateful to have gotten to know him in this lifetime and be there for him when he needed it most. I can only hope he's at peace, wherever he's gone to. He taught me that even the smallest interactions and conversations can change a person's life. I will never forget that gift. We will always love and miss you.

When I first arrived at Star House, he was the first person to say hello and become friends with me.

Anthony was one of the nicest friends that I have ever had. And such a friendship is one that I find myself deeply grateful for having had. The friendship with the kind and loving person that I once knew as "Chaz". I still remember the day that I got to watch him graduate from Eagle Wings Academy. It brought tears to my eyes being able to see just how far he had come. At the time of his graduation I was only in eighth grade. I am a sophomore at Eagle Wings now. And I still have much to thank him for. I want Anthony to know. Wherever he may be right now. That he will always be my friend.

A time that Chaz made me laugh was when he tried dunking the basketball and hung to the hoop then fell and bounced, he laughed about it too, his favorite thing that made me smile was in our teachers sweet food box, and it was the Walmart brand fruit smile snacks, he loved them, but I'm going to miss you Chaz, I really will.
