Antonio "Tony" Soriano, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, departed this life on September 3, 2024, at his birthplace and hometown of San Antonio, Texas, following a sudden cardiac arrest. Born into the vibrant heart of Texas, Tony's zest for life and enduring spirit were grand.
Tony's journey began in the close-knit community of San Antonio, where he attended Lanier High School, forging lifelong friendships and exhibiting a natural aptitude for sports. His passion for athletics was evident as he excelled in baseball and basketball, playing with vigor and team spirit throughout his high school years and beyond. After graduation, Tony furthered his education at TSTI in Waco, Texas, where he honed the technical skills that would serve him well in his professional life.
For more than three decades, Tony dedicated his career to the San Antonio Shoe company. He began his tenure with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn, qualities that propelled him through the ranks to become a respected Buyer within the company's Purchasing department. His colleagues remember him not only for his professional acumen but also for his infectious laughter and the camaraderie he fostered within the workplace.
Tony's love for sports never waned, though as time passed, the basketball courts and baseball diamonds gave way to the green expanse of the golf course. His LOVE of golf was more than a pastime; it was a reflection of his appreciation for life's simple pleasures and the joy of friendly competition. Many will recall the excitement in his eyes as he shared stories of his time on the links, a testament to the memories he cherished.
Family was the cornerstone of Tony's life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Daniela C. Soriano, and a loving father to his daughter, Regina Nicole Soriano, who inherited his bright smile and generous spirit. Tony's siblings, Mike Lopez and his wife Linda, Juanita Rangel and her husband Adam, along with Joe Soriano and his wife Belinda, will hold dear the countless moments of laughter and love shared with their brother. The family will honor Tony's memory alongside the cherished recollections of his late parents Frank and Trini Soriano.. brother, Manuel Lopez, and sister, Hope Nava.
Tony's legacy is one of joy, dedication, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship. His life was a testament to the belief that with hard work, a kind heart, and a little bit of humor, one can leave an indelible mark on the world. He navigated life's fairways with grace, faced its challenges with courage, and cherished every moment with those he loved.
As the sun sets on a life well-lived, we bid farewell to Antonio "Tony" Soriano, whose memory will continue to inspire and guide us. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his story will be told with fondness and admiration for generations to come.
In keeping with Tony's journey, we celebrate his homecoming to the fields of gold where the fairways are endless, and every shot is a hole-in-one. Rest in peace, dear Tony, until we meet again.
