DR. A.P. SORIANO

Funeral services for Dr. A.P. Soriano will be 2 PM Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel. Interment will be at a later date, next to his mother in Chicago, IL. Visitation will be 5 PM – 8 PM Monday, August 11, 2025, at John E. Stephens. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Augustus P. Soriano at age 84. He was an established and well respected physician in family practice and general surgery for forty-nine years in the state of Mississippi. He passed peacefully in his Philadelphia home on the morning of August 8th, 2025. His time in general surgery and family practice was filled with many achievements. To name a few- Dr. A.P Soriano was a graduate of University of Santo Thomas in the Philippines in 1964, and became a medically licensed doctor in the state of Mississippi. His accomplishments led him to become a fellow of both the International College of Surgeons as well as the International College of Physicians. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Anita Soriano. Together they had seven beautiful children known as Marivic, Lisa, Sean, Sonja, Sunny, Heather and Phillip. Augustus gained fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren along the way whom he loved fiercely. He is also survived by his siblings: Georgena, Margarita, Dorothea, Alan, Sandra and Hannah, who will miss him dearly and cherish the beautiful moments they had together. Augustus was predeceased by his parents- Maria Luz P. Soriano and Alfredo L. Soriano. Dr. Soriano loved his family, friends and patients so strongly. He left a lasting impression on all that encountered him as both a doctor and devoted Christian.
