Apollonia Blanka Jamison

Apollonia Blanka Jamison, 77, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025
at her home, due to complications from a stroke.
Apollonia was born in Budapest, Hungary, on January 29, 1948, the daughter of Károly Jász and
Adél Antalffy. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Reverend Michael D. Jamison,
her three devoted children, David Harsay, Edina Harsay, and Sofia (Todd) Twiss, and two
grandchildren, Alec and Grace Twiss.
Apollonia moved to the United States in the late seventies when she and her first husband, Gyula
(Julius) Harsay, were granted political asylum. They successfully fought for the emigration of
their three young children, who later joined them in New Haven, Connecticut. The family moved
to the Kansas City area in 1981, where Apollonia worked in nursing homes and eventually at
Silent Unity in Unity Village, MO, where she had a successful 22-year career. Apollonia married
Michael in 1989, and she joined him in Topeka to support his role as Minister of Unity Church
of Topeka. She sang in the church choir and was a soloist, and she managed the church finances
and programming. She also earned a license as a Unity Teacher and was a spiritual leader at the
church. In addition to her work at the church, Apollonia was manager of the Framing Studio of
Framewoods and SouthWind Art Gallery of Topeka for over 17 years, a job she loved because it
allowed her to express her creativity. She was a talented artist and sold many of her paintings at
the Gallery.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Café Quetzal, 2111 SW
Belle Ave, Suite A&B Topeka, KS, 66614. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Café Quetzal will
be appreciated
