Evelyn Jamison ObituaryEvelyn Jamison, age 87, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on November 16, 1937, Evelyn made Willoughby her home for the past 62 years. She was the devoted mother of Laura Jamison, Mark Jamison, Todd (Rose Marie) Jamison, and Julie Jamison O'Boyle; and the cherished grandmother of Nicholas (Andrea Palumbo) Jamison, Wil (Kaitlyn) Dallas, Christopher Jamison, Chloe Jamison, Phoebe Jamison, Lucy Jamison, and Cian O'Boyle. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Helen Kowalchick, and her sister, Jean Chuba.
She worked in office administration for the Willoughby-Eastlake School Board, Dalton Industries, and other local companies, always demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic that she passed on to her children.
Evelyn was a woman of quiet elegance and many interests. She loved to read-especially non-fiction-and enjoyed stories of history, adventure, romance, and mystery. Music was another lifelong passion, particularly the timeless songs of Frank Sinatra and the hits of the 1960s and 1970s that became the soundtrack of her years raising her family.
She found great joy in going out for lunch or dinner and discovering new restaurants and favorite spots to visit. Whether near home or while traveling, she delighted in good food, good company, and the simple pleasures of life.
Her family and friends will forever remember her warmth, intelligence, and love of life.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, followed by burial at Sharpe Avenue Cemetery in Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church - Willoughby, Food Ministry, located at 4785 Shankland Road, Willoughby.
