April Michelle Busby, a beloved soul who brightened the lives of all those around her, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 51.
April was born on February 22, 1973, in Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of Gail Burns Wernimont and Peter Wernimont.
April's career as the manager of the Dental Lab at Affordable Dentures was just one aspect of her life where she shone brightly. Her dedication to her work and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on all those she encountered. Colleagues remember her for her kindness and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Those who were fortunate enough to know April will always remember her as a beacon of light with a heart full of love and generosity. Whether it was spending time with her family as a devoted memaw, mother, and best friend or simply being there for those in need, April's selflessness knew no bounds.
In addition to her remarkable career and unwavering devotion to her loved ones, April was cherished by many for the joy and positivity she brought into their lives. Her memory will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
April is survived by her loving husband, Dan Busby of Jackson, TN; her son, Miller Pounds and wife Jessica of Medon, TN; her daughter, Jessie Carter and fiancé Winter Santiago of Henderson, TN; her mother, Gail Wernimont of Jackson, TN; her father, Peter Wernimont of Memphis, TN; her sister, Ginny Williams and husband Johnny of Jackson, TN; and her grandchildren, Harper Pounds, Ruth Pounds, Rose Lee Busby, Ashton Santiago, and Jaelyn Santiago and two nieces, Raven and Tesla and a nephew Stryder. In their time of grief, may they find comfort in the memories they shared with April and the love that will always bind them together.
Services to honor and celebrate April's life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Mr. Chris Rinks officiating. A Memorial Gathering will take place beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until 1:00 PM. This time will serve as an opportunity for friends and family to come together to pay their respects and share fond memories of April.
