It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of April Reine Guinn, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, who left this world peacefully on October 14, 2025, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Surrounded by her loving family, April's spirit ascended to eternal peace after bravely battling cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
She was born on March 20, 1981, at Women's Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Gayle and Randy Guinn, April was a sweet and sensitive girl whose kindness and radiance touched countless lives from a young age. Growing up with her older brother Jason, she blossomed into a strong and independent young woman, known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering determination. Her leadership qualities shone brightly during her time at Durango High School, where she proudly served as class president in her senior years. April's intelligence and charm drew people to her, and she left an indelible mark on the lives of her classmates.
After graduation, April navigated various career paths, showcasing her versatility and drive. She worked alongside her aunt as an assistant event coordinator, where her creativity and organizational skills flourished. Her time spent at Robert Half and Expedia further illustrated her adaptability and dedication. However, her greatest joy came from being a mother to her two beloved sons, Taylor and Hudson. The love she poured into her children was palpable; they were her world, and she reveled in every moment spent nurturing and guiding them. Together, they created cherished memories filled with laughter, adventures, and the warmth of unconditional love.
Tragedy struck when April faced the heartbreaking loss of her mother, Gayle. This profound loss challenged her, yet through it all, April displayed an inspiring strength and resilience. Seeking solace and support, she moved to Oklahoma to be closer to her father and brother, where she faced health challenges with courage and grace. Her unwavering faith and love for Jesus provided her the comfort she needed during her most trying times. April's journey was a testament to her character-one marked by love, strength, and an enduring spirit.
April is survived by her beloved children, Taylor Zobrist and Hudson Gilmore, her father Randall Guinn, her brother Jason Guinn, grandparents, Elwyn (George) and Maxine Guinn, her companion, Bobby Harris. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, one granddaughter, Lilia and one grandnephew, Koda. Each of these relationships enriched her life, and she left a profound impact on each person who had the privilege of knowing her.
A first memorial service will be held at Barnes, Friedrich and Pope Funeral Home at 1820 S. Douglas Blvd Midwest City, Oklahoma 73130, on November 8, 2025, at 2 PM, followed by a second memorial service at Canyon Ridge Christian Church at 6200 W. Lone Mountain Rd Las Vegas, Nevada 89130, on November 22, 2025, at 4 PM.
As we gather to honor April's life, we remember her loving embrace, her vibrant laughter, and the light she brought into our lives. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. April Reine Guinn will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
