Arcangela "Agnes" (DeLisa) Tenore, 100, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Ciro Tenore, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024 at Maple View Manor in Rocky Hill. Arcangela was born on December 17, 1923 in Sassano, Salerno, Italy and was the daughter of Michael and Giovanina (DeLuca) DeLisa. Arcangela and Ciro were married in 1945 and together made a wonderful home for their family. Arcangela was an excellent cook and gardener. Her home was a place where all her children's friends would gather and stay for dinners and a place where her grandchildren had many memorable sleepovers and fun in her care. She received such joy showing her love through her amazing homemade food and sharing it with all that had the pleasure of her company. No one left her home without a care package.

She will be missed by her children, Joanna Caldarella of Rocky Hill, Alfonso Tenore of Rocky Hill, Mario Tenore and his wife Susan of Wethersfield, Gino Tenore of West Hartford and Lorain Tenore and her husband Nicholas Deramo of Wethersfield; her sisters, Rosa Califano of Italy and Alba Fiorillo of Michigan; her grandchildren, Neil DiLisa and wife Genesys and Michael DiLisa and wife Evelyn of Caracas, Venezuela, Christina Roettger and husband Ryan, Anita, Sabrina and Michael Caldarella, Anthony Tenore and wife Liz, Marc Tenore and wife Anya of Tampa, FL, Michael Tenore and wife Elisabeth, Lindsay Lange and husband George, Drew Deramo and Taylor Ziegler; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Tyler, Frank, Sophia, Rachel, Nathan and Matteo. She also leaves her nieces and nephews Linda Griskewicz, Joe and Mike DeLisa, Annamaria, Giovanna, Carmelina and Felice Califano of Italy and her special friend, Antoinette Gervasio.
In addition to her husband and parents, Arcangela was predeceased by her beloved daughter Rachele and her husband, Francesco and grandson Frank DiLisa all of Caracas, Venezuela; an infant son, Michael Tenore; her daughters-in-law, Nancy Tenore and Valerie Anzellotti; her son- in-law, Bruno Caldarella; her beloved brothers John and his wife Teresa DeLisa, Guiseppe DeLuca and wife Filomena; niece Joanne DeLisa and numerous, very close cousins she had memorable times with throughout her years.
Memorial donations can be made to a charity close to Arcangela's heart on behalf of her great- granddaughter, Sophia who has Rett Syndrome. Please make checks payable to Rett Syndrome Research Trust or on-line at: https://reverserett.org/donate

Lorain,

So sorry to read about your mother's passing. As you know, I remember her when we were little on Franklin Avenue. Congratulations to her for reaching the 100 year milestone!! My dad almost made it. She sure did plant a lot of seeds! I didn't realize how big your family was! I hope all of your wonderful memories of your mother carry you through this most difficult time.
