Ardell Mae Schoephoester, age 85, of Green Lake, WI passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Juliette Manor in Berlin, WI, after a short battle with cancer.
Ardell was born in Ripon, WI on August 25, 1939, daughter of Arthur and Adela (Grams) Ludjack. She graduated from Green Lake High School and immediately began working at Rippin’ Good Cookies and worked there for over 60 years. On September 19, 1959 she married Richard “Dick” Schoephoester at Grace Evangelical Church in Ripon. Ardell enjoyed boating and snowmobiling with her husband. They also looked forward to a yearly trip to the Florida Keys where they stayed for a month in the winter. Ardell was an avid Packer fan, as well as other WI sports teams, and would watch NASCAR with Dick.
Ardell is survived by her siblings, Jackie Steifner, Allen Ludjack, Keith (Georgia) Ludjack all of Ripon, WI, Debbie (Phil) Busse and Pamela (Jeff) Novak both of Green Lake, WI, and Jandra Deaton of Ripon, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Karen Schoephoester of Prairie du Sac, WI; and other members of her husband’s family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Adela Ludjack; husband Richard “Dick” Schoephoester; sisters, Karen and Donna; and a niece, Jodi.
Visitation for Ardell will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial service for Ardell will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Rev. Clay R. Salmela officiating. Inurnment will take place at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake, WI at later date.
