Arlene Boren Horrocks passed away on August 11, 2025 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center. Arlene was born on November 16, 1933 to Leo and Nola Boren. She is the oldest of eight children; Don Boren, Alden Boren, Larry Boren, Nola Mae Bell, Glenna Atkinson, Steven Boren, and Carallee Boren.
Arlene has lived in Charleston, Wallsburg, Midway, Heber City, and Lake Creek.
Arlene attended school in Wasatch County and graduated from Wasatch High School. She married Harold Leroy Horrocks on April 11, 1952. They lived in Heber City and raised seven boys there: Kent, Tim, Duane, Ronnie, Mark, Bruce, and Blaine.
Arlene’s husband passed away on February 7, 2017 and Arlene lived alone in the house that he and their seven boys built.
Arlene enjoyed cooking, painting, reading, family history, and camping.
As of August 10, 2025 she has 7 sons; 36 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Horrocks; her brother, Larry Boren; and her parents Leo Boren and Nola Boyden Boren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Lake Creek 3rd Ward at 1365 East Center Street., Heber City, UT 84032 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at the Heber City Cemetery following the services.
