On the 20th of January, Mrs. Arlene Alma McMahon, 93, of Green Cove Springswent home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mrs. McMahon was bornin Wolcott, Vermont on January 14th, 1930, to Donald and Katie [Richardson]Moffatt. She was the proud mother to eight children, who bestowed her the titleof grandmother to 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-greatgrandchildren. During her years of being a resident of Green Cove Springs, shewas a beloved, longtime member of First Presbyterian Church as she was devotedto the Lord as well as her family and countless friends. She touched the hearts of many through her journey. She had a huge heart andcontributed to many non-profit organizations throughout her life. Besides beingan amazing mother, one of her greatest achievements was becoming QueenMother of the Red Hat Society. Arlene McMahon was preceded in death by her husband (Phillip McMahon), daughter (Kathleen Evans), and grandson (RyanMcMahon) and great grandson (Phillip Burch). She will always be loved and remembered by her surviving children, (Kenneth Moffat, Patricia Mayes, Michael McMahon, Donald McMahon, Maureen Cox, Daniel McMahonand William McMahon), loving brother (Harold Moffatt), honored grand, greatand great-great-grandchildren, Red Hat sisters, and all of the many lives sheembraced along the way.Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at 1 PM in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel and will be officiated by the Rev. Susan Takis, with the burial following in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. In honor of Mrs. Arlene, we encourage all to wear red or purple & the family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home for visitation. Arrangements will be under the care of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at, 1811 Idlewild Avenue, SR 16, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
