Arlyn Jane (Hellman) Schneider, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, of Fond du Lac formerly of Mount Calvary, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on August 14, 2025, at the age of 88.
She was born August 21, 1936 to Emil & Marie (Mihm) Hellman. Arlyn attended Holy Cross Catholic Grade School in Mount Calvary and graduated from St. Mary's Springs High School.
On February 8, 1958, she married LeRoy F. Schneider at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. LeRoy preceded her in death on December 25, 2007.
Arlyn dedicated her life to faith and family. She was always there with a loving heart and warm embrace. She and LeRoy cherished their time traveling and spending the winters in Arizona. Many of Arlyn's hobbies included sewing, golfing, bowling, crafting, gardening, tending to her flowers, and taking long walks.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Site, the Christian Womens Society, and served as the Village of Mount Calvary Clerk for many years.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her four children, Lori (Dave) Abrahamson of Menomonee Falls, Tom (Sandy) Schneider of Glenbeulah, Jackie (Jim) Hungerford of Oakfield, and Julie (Darrell) Petrie of Mount Calvary; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Brian) Baumgart, Megan (Ryan) Schneider, Jason (Grace) Abrahamson, Nathan, Breanna (Fiancé, Koby Spanbauer) Kyle Hungerford (Fiancée, Erin Kiel) Kelsey (Andy) Gross, Kalyn (Bo) Bingen, Kimberlee Petrie Volm (Matt Volm), and Lucas (Brooke) Petrie; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Harvey) Kraus and Janice (Tom) Mack, both of Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Heinle of Ohio and Mary Lang of Arizona. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding Arlyn in death were her husband, LeRoy; her parents, Emil & Marie Hellman; a brother, Harold "Gus" (Mary Joan) Hellman; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Alex & Cecelia Schneider; a nephew, Steve Mack; two brothers-in-law, Craig Heinle and Bill Lang.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Site, 308 S. County Road W,
Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap will officiate. Arlyn will be laid to rest next to her husband LeRoy in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Arlyn's family at the church in Mount Calvary on Wednesday, August 27th, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Arlyn's name can be sent to the family for Cristo Rey Ranch or Alzheimer's Research Association.
Arlyn's family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Villa Rosa Assisted Living and Cornerstone Assisted Living in West Bend for their care and compassion given to her and her family.
