PRECIADO, Armando "Mode" - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Armando Preciado, affectionately known as "Mode," on July 20, 2025, in Healdsburg, CA, at the age of 55. Armando was born on March 1, 1970, in Colima, Mexico, where he spent his childhood and early life. In Mexico, he began his career as an auto electric mechanic as a teenager. When Mode came to the United States he worked in the vineyard industry and then at the Timbercrest Farms with a wonderful family (The Waltonspiel's). After, he started work in environmental services before finding his way back to his passion and talent for mechanical work. This led to a dedicated 22-year career as a mechanical technician at E&M Electric with the wonderful Deas family. During this time he gained recognition for his skills and commitment to his craft. He was honored as Motor Shop Person of the Year in both 2009 and 2012 - a testament to his expertise and work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Mode was a lifelong soccer enthusiast. He played the sport for many years and remained a devoted fan of Cruz Azul. Armando was preceded in death by his parents, Ramón Ávila Mora and Modesto Preciado Mendoza. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Chavez; his children, Jacobo Preciado, Erik and Michael Maldonado, and Monserrat Preciado; and 11 cherished grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. A viewing and Rosary will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 208 Matheson St., Healdsburg, CA 95448. A funeral Mass will follow the next day on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church. A celebration of life immediately after the funeral at St. John's, Catholic Church Hall. ~ He will be dearly missed.
