Armida Nye

Armida Nye was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 8, 1926, the youngest of seven children in a loving and close-knit family. From an early age, she embraced the values of faith, family, and hard work that would guide her throughout her long and meaningful life. A devout Catholic, Armida was known for her kindness, warmth, and quiet strength. She found her greatest joy in caring for and spending time with her family. Her love and steady presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Armida was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond; her daughter, Donna; and her son, Ray, as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn; her grandchildren, Rachael and Alan; her great-grandchildren, and she also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to cherish her gentle spirit and guiding love. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Ascension Cemetery, 24754 Trabuco Rd., Lake Forest, CA 92630. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Redlands Community Hospital Hospice for their compassionate care during Armida's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (alzfdn.org), The United Way (inlandsocaluw.org), or a charity of your choice.
