Arnold H. Sargent Jr.

Arnold H. Sargent Jr. 82, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2023. He was the husband of the late Joanne (Stickney) Sargent, they had been married for 22 years prior to her passing in 2019. Born in Newport, he was the son of the late Arnold and Marjorie (Woods) Sargent.
Arnold had worked as a Tool Manufacturer for W.L. Fuller prior to his retirement. He loved spending time with his son and daughter in law and his adoring grandchildren. He was an avid Nascar enthusiast, he enjoyed working outdoors in his yard especially working in his vegetable garden. He was a member of the Drifters Car Club.
He is survived by his son Adam Sargent and his wife Mary-Elizabeth, also his grandchildren William, Nicholas, and Faith Sargent. He was the brother of Michael, and Lisa Lopes.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday January 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Carpenter Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Quidnessett Cemetery, North Kingstown.
