Arthur J. Bosley, Jr., 73, of New Haven, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024.
Born on August 25, 1950, in New Haven, CT, Art was the beloved eldest son of the late Arthur and Helen Perry Bosley.
Arthur leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory. His devoted wife, Simone Mason, will forever remember him. He is also survived by his sons, Derrick Bosley (Brooke), and Noel Lewis. Arthur's siblings, Jacqueline McClure, Sandra McClure, and Shawn Bosley (Cynthia Ann) will miss him dearly. He leaves a legacy of love for his seven grandchildren and for a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Arthur was a graduate of the prestigious Cheshire Academy and went on to earn an Engineering Degree from Howard University. He was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Arthur's professional career included a successful tenure at SNET as an Engineer from which he retired in the early 1990s. He also dedicated his time to serving the community as a sitting member of the New Haven Board of Education.
Arthur's passion for travel extended far beyond leisure. As an Ambassador for Peace with the Inter-Religious and International Federation for World Peace, he and Simone visited 120 nations as a delegate, promoting understanding and unity.
A lifelong advocate for education and social justice, Arthur was a tireless activist. He founded several tutoring and mentorship programs in New Haven and until his passing, served as a beloved tutor at the Math Learning Center in the West Hills Community.
Arthur was known by many as "The Professor", he was a Master Chess Player, and solved Sudoku puzzles as a part of his daily routine.Arthur's dedication to his community and unwavering commitment to making a difference will be deeply missed.
