Louis Arthur Duckworth, age 80, of Reform, AL passed away August 26, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wes Jones and Bro. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sam Duckworth, Jr. and Jerry Duckworth; niece, Amanda Driver and nephew, Christopher Curboy.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Noland Duckworth of Reform; daughter, Karen Wynne (Jeff) of Georgetown, TX; son, Brian Duckworth (Mitzie) of Gulfport, MS; two sisters, Marilyn Driver (Mike) of Gordo and Diane Allen (Bruce) of Whitinsville, MA; four grandchildren, Garrett Wynne (Tessa), Grayson Duckworth (Shelby), Brittany Necaise (Chris) and Hunter Welch (Courtney Cuevas) and three great-grandchildren, Rayleigh, Kason and Rilynn Necaise.
Arthur was born June 27, 1943 in Palmetto, Alabama to the late Sam J. Duckworth, Sr. and Ruth Grey Brown Duckworth. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, a retired electrician for Weyerhaeuser and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Wynne, Grayson Duckworth, Hunter Welch, T. J. Duckworth, Mike Driver and Bob Morgan.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Friendship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 189, Reform, AL 35481.
