Arthur Greenfield, 78, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, at 11:05 PM. Born in New York City at Beth Israel Hospital on September 25, 1945, Arthur faced many health challenges in his later years, but he always remained resilient and determined.
Arthur was the beloved son of Dr. Arthur Greenfield and Dorothy Cain Greenfield. He is survived by his sister, Star Jan Pollack, and he was preceded in death by his two half-sisters from his father's first marriage, Augusta (Gail) Beck and Frances Goodman.
Arthur attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and later pursued his studies at the NYU School of Engineering. He built a career as a salesman and later authored a book. He was known for his kindness, humor, and offbeat jokes that often brought smiles to those around him.
In his younger years, Arthur had a passion for riding Triumph motorcycles. Above all, he cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his children: Heather Michelle (Dave), Aaron Christopher, Nathan Israel, Amber Johanna (Rich), and Joshua Jordan (Lila). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Star. Arthur was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren (David, April, Brianna, Nathan, Logan, Ellen, Aiden, Jordan, and Lenora) and seven great-grandchildren (David, Ryan, Zachary, Lillian, Stella, Ethan, and Kenneth). He was also a proud uncle (Brett, and Steve(Annie)), and great uncle (Jackson, Riley, and Ben). He was previously married to Janie Eugenia, who shared many wonderful memories with him during their 18 years together.
Services to honor Arthur's life will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 12 noon, graveside at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Arthur will be remembered as a kind man with a good sense of humor who loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
