Arthur Guy Shepherd, 93, of Alma, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 7, 2025. A dedicated farmer and proud veteran, Guy served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, he went on to further serve his community by serving on the board of directors of the Federal Land Bank, Mulberry City Council, and also at his local Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd degree Mason.
He was born on October 22, 1932, in Loving, Texas, to the late Cass and Betty (Sanders) Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his four children, Linda (Reeves) Shepherd and daughter, Rhonda Summers. It was one of his greatest wishes to return to Loving, Texas and the family will hold a service 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at The Loving Cemetery in Loving, Texas.
Guy is survived by his children, Delana Anderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Tammy Crooks of Alma; Darla Brashears and husband Randall of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
