Arthur Wayne Henesy

Arthur Wayne Henesy, 73, died at the Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown, MD from a long fight with cancer on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Art was born June 16, 1952, in Washington County, Hagerstown, MD. He was the son of the late Earl Hoffman Henesy and Betty Jean Slayman Henesy. He is survived by four sisters, Janet Elaine Henesy Mongan of Hagerstown, MD, Patricia Lynn Henesy of Hagerstown, MD, Carol Ann Henesy-Havens of Hagerstown, MD and Deena Jean Henesy Dillashaw of Federal Way, WA. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Larry Earl Henesy of Federal Way, WA and younger brother Robert Alan Henesy of Winthrop, WA. Art was a graduate student of North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD, class of 1970 and served in the Army. For the remainder of his life he was a wonderful carpenter and took pride in his workmanship. A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
