Arthur L. Mosher

Arthur L. Mosher, 88, of Gloversville, and a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY surrounded by his family.
Born on October 31, 1937, in Gloversville, New York, he was the son of the late Clarence and Orvetta (Noonan) Mosher.
Arthur's heart was first and foremost devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Alvina "Ellie" Mosher, who he married on November 16, 1962; his son, Mark Mosher, and daughter-in-law, Taylor; his sister-in-law, Roylene Wilson, and Marie Mosher; his adored grandchildren, Hunter (Jada), Xander, Sloane, and Rowan; his nephew, Michael O'Brien; and his great-grandson, Weslee; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his brother, Terry Mosher, and Richard Mosher; a sister, Audrey O'Brien; brother-in-law, Tom O'Brien; and his granddaughter, Jennifer.
Arthur proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard Army and later utilized his skills as an auto body tech at I-Hemans Chevrolet which was then transferred to Glove City Chevrolet, and then completing his 30 + years at the former Kentris Chevrolet upon his retirement.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Arthur's love for the wilderness was evident to all who knew him. He found peace and solace in nature, whether he was camping across the United States-a passion that spanned over 50 years-hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the quiet of the forest. He was also deemed the 'Mr. Fix It man' by those who were fortunate enough to benefit from his handy and inventive solutions to any problem.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown NY, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, NY.
The family invites everyone to a celebration of life at Berkshire Fire Station #1, located at 320 Steele Ave. Ext., Gloversville, NY following the committal at the cemetery.
