Born on September 28, 1957, in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nancy (Kruse) Kiwus.
A woman of impressive intellect and compassion, Jody continued her pursuit of knowledge immediately following high school, attaining a master's degree that would pave the way for her lifelong commitment to helping others. She spent most of her professional career as a devoted social worker in Albany, NY.
Jody's artistic soul manifested itself in her love for crafts and sculpture. This same creativity pulsed through her as she embraced the world of music, a companion during her times of creation and relaxation.
Jody is survived by her son, Zachary Gil; and her brothers, John Paul Kiwus (Wendy), and Christopher Kiwus (Jennifer), as well as several other loving family members.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
