Arthur Lee Whitaker, Jr. was born on June 25, 1968, in Greenville, NC to the late Arthur Whitaker Sr. and the late Gloria Mae D. Whitaker. Arthur departed this life on Sunday, October 15, 2023, with his loved ones by his side.
Arthur Lee aka "little lee" attended North Pitt High School where he received his high school diploma, and later continued his education at Pitt Community College. He was employed by Nacco in 1998 as a forklift driver for more than 20 years, where the name later changed to Hyster-yale. Although Arthur lee spent many years at Hyster-yale, he also touched many people along with other various jobs and talents, like mowing grass and lawn care, working on cars, washing cars, presser washing, cooking, playing the guitar, hunting, and fishing.
Whether Arthur lee was cooking, mowing grass, playing his bass, smiling, laughing, joking or playing his number, "if you know, you know." He made sure that wherever he went, no one would forget his name.
Arthur was preceded in death by his sister, Angelia Collette Adams.
Arthur leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Arthel Whitaker, Adella Whitaker, Ayria Whitaker of Greenville NC; three sons, Patryck Crane, Artiss Whitaker of Greenville NC and Ahllyric Norman of Plymouth NC; his only grandchild, Iyvee Norman of Greenville NC; two brothers, Don Earl Whitaker of Bridgeport CT and Victor Whitaker of Greenville NC; three sisters, Cynthia "Peaches" Whitaker of Danbury CT, Cynthia "Louise" Daniels and Carlotta Whitaker both of Greenville NC; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
