Arun Singh

Arun Singh, 70, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Oct. 25 in Plymouth of complications from gastric cancer.
Arun's wanderlust took him to more than 40 countries, most usually with his "trusted travel partner:" his wife Neelam. His zest for life attracted him to hobbies from model trains to bike riding to photography. He pursued the perfect shot of exotic birds and big game around the world. He regaled his three grandsons with his adventure stories and his daughters tales of his boyhood in India.
Arun was born Oct. 13 1954 in Calcutta. He graduated from the Madras Institute of Technology and worked in Calcutta before moving in 1986 to Fargo, where he earned a master's degree in computer engineering from North Dakota State University.
The family moved to Rochester in 1989 and the Twin Cities in 1991. Along the way they built a sprawling and enduring network of dear friends. Arun retired in 2023 as chief information officer of Cannon Falls-based Gemini.
Arun is survived by his wife Neelam, daughters Namrata and Neha, their husbands Patrick and Tyler, and grandsons Tej, Kiran and Jahan.
A visitation and memorial will occur at 1 pm Oct 28th at Hillside Chapel.
