Audrey was born on April 21, 1944 to Worth Roberts and Margaret Elizabeth Delapp Roberts in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the family home surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife and mother and cherished her time with her family. She was involved in her children’s activities which included dancing, piano, beauty contests, cheerleading, Judo, speed skating, wrestling, and football.

Audrey was a renowned cosmetologist. In 1969 Audrey became restless as a stay-at-home housewife and mother of three and decided to go to beauty college. While at Geneva’s Beauty College, she fell in love with hair styling competitions. During her years as a cosmetologist, she won many hair stylist competitions. She went on to open up her own salon, Audrey’s House of Hair Fashion. Her success had a great deal to do with the support of her husband, Thomas A. Griffin. Together they opened their second salon which included a dress shop. She served several years as President of the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. She also competed in the Hair Stylist Olympics winning many medals. She sponsored several young women who competed in and won many pageants. She selflessly honored many women who had passed away by styling their hair and doing their makeup as a final gift of love. Audrey enjoyed going to the market and shopping for her clients. Audrey was a member of the Louisiana State Association and traveled doing educational shows. Her talents included interior design, remodeling, and restoring houses and furniture.
