On Sunday, October 16th, 2022 Audrey Lee McLaughlin, was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 86 at her son's house in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
Growing up on Dog River, she thoroughly enjoyed fishing in her free time. Audrey was a devoted and loving, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend to almost everyone she met. She carried deep compassion for all animals. She was full of gratitude and touched so many lives in her lifetime. She also enjoyed gardening and volunteering for numerous organizations over the years.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents Bessie W. Hudson (mother), and Ellis L. Hudson (father), her children Donald McLaughlin (newborn son) & Charles Lee (Chuck) McLaughlin (son), and her siblings Murphy (Taylor), Katie, and Eddie Hudson.
She is survived by Ronald L. (Ronnie) (son) and Teresa McLaughlin (daughter-in-law) and daughters Felicia (Wesley) Waites and Angel (Andy) Shaw and family, Heather L. McLaughlin (Granddaughter), Corey Pearce (dear friend) Hadley L. Nall (Great Grand), Benjamin and Jason McLaughlin (Grandsons) and family, JoAnn H. Riels (sister) and family, Pamela A.Murphy (dear friend), among many nieces and nephews. Many others to list.
Audrey was also considered a member of the family of Dr. Chris Salter, Dr. Rosalyn Salter, and their two daughters Carlysle (Carly) Salter & Rachael S. Givens as she was in their lives for over 23 years.
She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held this Friday, October 21, 2022, from 11:30-12 for immediate family and 12-2 pm visitation only for all others at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
In place of flowers, the family asks that a small donation be made to your local Animal Shelter or Rescue Foundation.
Flowers are still embraced being she loved them dearly.
