Audrey Y. (Welder) Wessner passed away on December 25, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her daughter Yvonne and her husband John Condoluci, her son Dave and his wife Connie, and her grandson Ian. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert A. Wessner, who passed away in 2022.
The daughter of Ernest and Olga Welder, Audrey was born on March 2, 1941. She graduated from Emmaus High School in 1959 and then attended Goldey-Beacom College. Shortly after she and Bob married in 1962, they moved to Plainfield, NJ. But Emmaus always was home. They soon returned and became a fixture on Berger St., raising their family there. Audrey and her family regularly attended St. John’s Lutheran Church. When Dave and Yvonne were in school, Audrey attended more dance recitals, student performances, scout meetings, and sporting events than one could possibly count. She always was there.
Indeed, being there was Audrey’s greatest and most important quality. As a daughter, a wife, and a mother, she always was there, supporting her family in every way that she could.
When her children got older, Audrey worked outside of the home for Dun & Bradstreet. More importantly, she and Bob enjoyed frequent outings with their friends. A Friday night game of cards or dinner at a favorite restaurant were common occurrences. And they had many adventures that extended well beyond Emmaus. With trips to Disney World, Las Vegas, and many places in between and cruises to all parts of the globe, Audrey got to see the world.
When she became ill, Audrey moved from Emmaus to Legend of Lancaster and then Luther Acres in Lititz, PA. We are forever grateful for the compassionate care that she received in these communities.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
