Austin Terrell Butche'e, age 20, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, unexpectedly went to be with Jesus on May 30, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born on June 24, 2004, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Austin gave his heart to Jesus and was baptized at a young age at Resurrection Life Church. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he carried that love for Christ throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Jeffersonville High School, Austin played four years of football and had a wide range of interests including wrestling, fishing, swimming (especially the high dive), and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed long drives with the windows down and music turned up-music was always playing when Austin was around.
Above all, Austin loved being a dad. He was incredibly proud of his son, and his family meant the world to him. He was known for his outgoing personality and generous heart. Austin never met a stranger-his smile, humor, and warmth drew people in wherever he went.
He will be remembered for his big laugh, his even bigger heart, and the love he freely gave to those around him.
Austin was preceded in death by "my nother gma" Sherry Ellingsworth; Gpa (uncle) Eddie Knell Sr.; child, Ezra Butche'e.
Austin is survived by his mother, Oleta Hecker; father, Tony Hecker; son, Bellamy Butche'e; brother, Devon Proctor(Reegan); sisters, Jazmyne Hecker, Cheyenne, Rachel; brother, Micah; grandma (aunt) Bonnie Knell; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends he considered family.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4-6:30pm with service to follow at Resurrection Life Church, 2806 Blackiston Mill Rd, Clarksville, Indiana 47129. Burial will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 1pm at Eastern Cemetery.
