Austin Wayne McDonald, aged 27, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Born on May 18, 1997, in Lake City, FL. Austin was a lifelong resident of Live Oak. He was employed as an Officer in Training for the Department of Corrections in Jasper, FL, and was a devoted member of Melody Christian Church in Live Oak. Austin had an old soul that loved mentoring others, was very lively, and loved to play jokes on everyone in the room. He was a person that left a lasting impression on everyone that encountered him and could make anyone laugh on their hardest days. Austin loved to listen to old country music, sing, dance, and be anywhere on the water fishing. He especially enjoyed being with his children, family, and friends.
Austin is survived by his loving parents, Mandy Frederickson (Greg) of Mayo, FL, and Bryan McDonald of Jasper, FL. He leaves behind three cherished daughters: Hallie Faith McDonald of Live Oak, Paisley Michelle McDonald, and Oaklynn April-Ivey McDonald, both of Perry, FL. He is also survived by his sister Alexis McDonald of Live Oak, FL, and brothers, Brandon McDonald of Lake Butler, FL, and Ashton McDonald of Mayo, FL. His maternal grandparents; Cathy Davis of Live Oak and Edward Hurst (Cynthia) of Jasper, FL, grandparent, David Stearns of Gainesville, FL. His paternal grandparents; Gina Williams of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Kirk McDonald (Amy) of Lake City, FL. Also mourning his passing are many nephews, extended family, and friends. Austin is preceded in death by his sister April Cathy Lee.
A celebration of Austin's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, March 3rd at Melody Christian Church, with a visitation beginning at 3:00 pm prior to the service.
