Austyn Jakiah McDaniel, 24, of Claypool, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2025.
Austyn was born on January 8, 2001 to his loving parents, Arron McDaniel and Karen (Prater) Sanders in Warsaw, Indiana. He went on to graduate from Whitko Highschool in 2019.
Austyn had a huge heart and cared deeply for his family. He especially enjoyed being an uncle to 4 nieces and 2 nephews. He was always caring and playful and had a great sense of humor, making them laugh often. The memories made will continue in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
When there was work to be done, you could always count on Austyn to be there helping his family and friends. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities. He had fun tinkering with his car, building computers, and gaming. He loved fishing and being outdoors. He especially loved watching basketball and football, whether in person or at home with his family and friends.
Family left to honor Austyn’s memory are his father Arron McDaniel; mother, Karen (Prater) Sanders; his three sisters; Destinee Prater, Kristen (McDaniel) Chester, and Trinity McDaniel; his brother Shawn McDaniel; his maternal grandparents, Marcus (Brenda) Prater and his 6 nieces and nephews.
Austyn was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

A celebration of Austyn’s life with be held at a later date.
The family requests memorials in his honor to be made to the Dyer Baptist Church, 735 213th St. Dyer, Indiana 46311 and the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, 58 W 700 S, Claypool, Indiana 46510.
