Mr. Avery Ahmad Henley

Mr. Avery Ahmad Henley was born on February 23, 2001, to Patrice Lewis and Anthony Tyrone Henley in Griffin, Georgia. Avery received his formal education at Griffin High School in Griffin, Georgia. He furthered his education at Kennesaw State University, majoring in Engineering.
Avery accepted Christ as his Savior at very young age and was united with Corinth Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. John H. Adams.
Avery was employed by Yancey as a Assembler, and was training to be a Welder. In his leisure time he enjoyed fixing up his "Bright Red 2009 Pontiac G8", and spending time with his family and friends.
On Sunday, January 19, 2025, our Heavenly Father called this sweet young man, Mr. Avery Ahmad Henley home where he will forever dwell in his presence. He is set free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Cedric Lewis; grandfather, David Alexander' great grandparents, Lucille Lewis, John Henry (Emma) Alexander, Lizzie Bowles, and Willie (Lilly) Henley.
Mr. Avery Ahmad Henley leaves a lasting legacy, full of loving memories his loving and devoted mother, Patrice Lewis; father, Anthony Tyrone Henley; grandparents, Patricia Ann Lewis, Jimmy Lee Calloway, Peggy Henley, and Willie Lee Bowles; 2 sisters, Navashae Lewis, and Tatyana Henley; 4 brothers, Ty'Zavious Henley, Anteguis Williams, Dextarius Mims, and Octavius Mims; aunts, Adreine (Zackary) Ellis, Michelle (GW) Releford, Crystal Alexander, Chiquita Henley, Wendy (Murray) Hixson, Shaniqu (Keith) McAfee; 2 loving nephews, Kaiden Alford, and Kamahjae Lewis; uncles, Jarvis (Kauchia) Lewis, Calvert (Barbara) Johnson and Travis (Cristy) Calloway; godmother, Barbara Williams; god-sister, Karlecia Moss; special friends, Shaniah Mann, godparents, Mr. & Mrs. Todd (Christi) Whitson; special friends, Darmoni Clark, Jalen Muhammad, Jaylin Smith, Jamaal Brittian, and Angel Branch. He also leaves a host of cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor John H. Adams is the Pastor of Corinth and Rev. Travis Ferguson is the Eulogist.
