Avery Devon Neal was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 27, 1993 and sweetly embraced as "Suga Av". He was raised in Indianapolis, IN. Avery graduated from high school in 2011 and went on to study at Marion University for three years.

Avery had a fierce love for running and joined a host of friends to run the Turkey Dash Run every year since 2009. He loved family and joking around and had a distinct and infectious laugh.Avery survived a brain aneurysm in 2016 and made a remarkable full recovery. He was also a survivor of the FedEx mass shooting in 2021, and returned right back to work. If there was one thing Avery did, it was persevere. No matter how many times knocked him down, he got right back up. Avery was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, and cousin.Avery leaves behind his mother Robin Meyers, father Gregory Meyers, sisters Ashley Roney (Reggie Jr.) and Anna Walker, brother Darren Meyers, niece JaNIya Jackson, nephews Reginald Roney III, and Syair Walker. Grandmother Birdia Freeman, grandfather Samuel Freeman, along with his aunts Lisia Francisco (TreMayne), Regina Neal, Kimberly Meyers, and Cheryl Walton (Stacy), uncles Derrick Neal (Shamona), Robert L. Meyers (Connie), Michael Meyers, and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
