Through her work and online presence Ayesha continues to inspire me to show up boldly in the world. To show up boldly for myself, for my community and to do it all with grace and kindness. Such a treasure. Truly made the world a better place.

Ayesha, you are Black Girl Excellence. Your eloquent voice and classy demeanor. You explemfy Black feminism, beauty , and intellect. I had the pleasure of witnessing your brilliance on the Grapevine. I look forward to watching your legacy continue to impact generations to come. Love you my sista. Take your seat as an ancestor and rest well beloved. May God continue to lift up your family during this difficult time.

To the Faines family. The entire Miss Black USA community mourns the loss of our beautiful pageant sister. I´m deeply saddened. Words can not articulate the impact she made on our lives. Mom Faines, I wish I could give you a big hug and share all my sweet stories with you of how Ayesha melted my heart and continued to make me proud all these years later. My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family and all who loved and adored her. My life is richer because I experienced her love, light, joy and power. Blessings Karen Lyew Dias

Never met her. Lived worlds apart. But her intelligence via the grapevine made women connect with her and be inspired by her.

My prayers go out to Ayesha´s wonderful family. Your hearts are broken and we all grieve her loss.
She returns to the one who loves her most. God is with you at this most difficult time. Hold on...
She was a light for others, even as a youngster as I remember her as her school nurse. Ayesha´s light continues to shine.

My sincere condolences to this beautiful young woman's family. I remember this bright, beautiful, and enlightening spirit as a middle school...she was always seeking a way to bring about righteous equality to her fellow black and brown peers. My heart grieves for her family and friends. However, I know God was ready and waiting to receive her in His Mighty hands as she entered into His presence.
