Bailey Michael Holman, 78, entered into God's kingdom on February 25, 2023, peacefully at home in the presence of his family. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma on September 10, 1944, to Bailey and Jerry Holman.
Bailey was known to his friends and family as "Mike" and leaves behind his devoted wife, Ellen; four children and their spouses, Michelle(Drew) Nietert, Kevin(Kari) Holman, Melissa(Sean) Spoelstra, and Marcie(Michael) Wallenmeyer as well as his 11 beloved grandchildren Zach, Abby, Sara, Rachel, Justice, Audra, Noah, Sophia, Nolan, Lexi, and Logan. He is also survived by three siblings Karen(Ray) Flinn, Dale Holman, and David Holman.
After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School, Mike attended Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1966. He worked at NASA in Houston for several years before sensing God's call to pursue a biblical education. He set out for Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA where he met and married his wife Ellen Pletka on July 6, 1969.
Eventually he found his way back to Texas working with his father at Holman Electric and as an engineer with Texas Utilities. Mike took many trips to India helping missionaries and eventually moved to Albania in 1993 with Ellen to serve God in setting up learning centers and providing computer training. He would live in Kazakhstan and Moscow before returning to the US to continue supporting the Lord's work through several mission organizations.
