Barbara J. Backe

Barbara J. Backe (Ballard), 68, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanne Ballard (Lamont). Barbara is survived by her loving son Thomas Dale (Stephanie) and her grandson Thomas Jr., as well as her brothers Joseph Ballard (Carol) and David Ballard (Donna). She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Barbara is predeceased by her sister Donna Ballard.
A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Barbara was a proud graduate of Warwick Vets High School. Known by all as a kind and loving person, Barbara loved animals, especially horses, and enjoyed playing card games and crossword puzzles in her free time. Above all, Barbara loved and cherished her family who will all miss her dearly.
Barbara's funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:00am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. Warwick. Her burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
