Barbara Ann Baker

Barbara Ann (Livelsberger) Baker, age 78, of Hanover, passed away at home on April 21, 2025 surrounded by friends and family. She was the loving wife of the late Donald F. Baker, Jr. who passed away on October 28, 2018; together they shared 50 years of marriage.
Barbara was born in Hanover, PA on October 7, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Shorb) Livelsberger. She graduated from Delone Catholic High School Class of 1964 and worked for Penn Township Police Department in Hanover until her retirement. Barbara was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover.
Barbara treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Her heart was always filled with love for her grandchildren whom she adored. They were the light of her life. She supported all their life pursuits, whether it was attending sporting events, theatre productions, dance recitals, or musicals. Her grandchildren are her lasting legacy, and she was extremely proud of all their endeavors.
Barbara also enjoyed making memories at the beach with her family and going on trips with her husband all over the country. Barbara and Donald visited 42 of the 50 United States. She also enjoyed taking trips to see musicals and playing cards with her friends and family.
Barbara is survived by her sons Douglas Baker and wife Shannon of Hanover, and their children McKenna, Ella, and Bryn; Donald Baker, III and wife Jessica Despres of Spring Grove, and their children Gracie, Jarod, Kaylee, and Connor; and Derrick Baker and wife Brandy of Hanover, and their children Trenton, Clayton, Brady, and Ava. She is also survived by her brother Robert Livelsberger, Jr; her sisters Jane Bixler and Sharon Neiderer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Heather L. (Griffiths) Baker; and her sister Linda Staub.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the Baker Family on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362. Interment will be private.
